wheel thrown black stoneware mug. glazed with a glossy green interior and exterior. adored with a sweet little lamb.
*this mug has a slight glaze crack near the handle. in my personal opinion it is still food safe and usable but I would not recommend using it for very hot drinks.
curious about how ceramics are made?
each of my pieces is handmade with love in san diego, ca. starting as a ball of clay, it's thrown on the wheel and left to air-dry just enough (usually 1-2 days). after trimming and adding special touches (bunnies... handles... doodles..), it's fired in the kiln. then, glazing process begins. once glazed the final firing can begin. seeing what a piece looks like after the final fire is always so exciting as ceramics is extreamly unpredictable and no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
